Where do you import from?

Is the wood from sustainable sources?
We try our best to ensure that it is. Our manufacturers tell us they only buy from managed plantations.
What type of wood is it?
The Indian wood is usually acascia or sheesham wood. The Chinese wood is usually oak or ash.
Is Child labour involved?
Not with any of the factories we deal with, they would lose our business if we found out otherwise.
How is the furniture made?
Nearly all the Indian furniture is made entirely by hand. The Chinese have mechanised rapidly, adapting to western factory standards very quickly. All the wood used in our products has been kiln dried to a moisture content of around 8%. This reduces the risk of any movement later on, but does not guarantee it.
Do you deliver?
Yes, but it is not free, there is no such thing as 'free delivery'. Some companies build delivery cost into their retail prices, we do not. Charges begin at £15. We prefer customers to collect, but understand it is not always possible to do so. Please contact the relevant store for a quote.
