FAQs
Where do you import from?
Mainly China, India and Vietnam.
Is the wood from sustainable sources?
We try our very best to ensure that it is. Our manufacturers tell us they only buy from managed plantations and have certificates stating so.
What type of wood is it?
The Indian wood is usually acascia or sheesham wood. Everything else is oak, pine or ash.
Is Child labour involved?
Not with any of the factories we deal with, they would lose our business if we found otherwise.
How is the furniture made?
Nearly all the Indian furniture is made entirely by hand. The Chinese have mechanised rapidly, adapting to western factory standards very quickly. All the wood used in our products has been kiln dried to a moisture content of around 8%. This reduces the risk of any movement later on, but does not guarantee it.
Why should i buy from furniture importers?
Because we hold our own stock which is available immediately.
Because most of our stock is designed by us & not available from any other retailer, unless we are supplying them of course.
If we supply a genuinely faulty item it will be replaced asap.
Because we are experts at delivering value for money, we've been doing it for 13 years!
Because we are very simple to deal with, no frills, we do exactly what it says on the tin!
Do you have sales?
We normally have one sale a year which starts 27th december, finishes end january. We keep our prices low all year, please compare them with similar quality goods, see for yourself. In addition to our annual sale we do have clearance and damaged goods, which we clear through our ledbury and hereford shops.
